Rakido is a singer-songwriter from Lake Villa, IL. When he was 15, his dad bought him his first guitar. He chose it because it was green. Doing everything in between from being in bands to rapping and producing beats, Rakido  chose to get back to the basics and play acoustic guitar for his latest cd.

He enjoys playing coffeehouses, bars and living rooms. “Every stage is a way to share a story, as well as make new ones.”

Taking his influences from Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab For Cutie and the Smashing Pumpkins, Rakido set out to record his cd, I-94.

“I chose the name I-94 because it symbolizes a way to leave the Chicago suburbs. I love where Im from, but ever since I started making music, I’ve always wanted to see what other stories are out there.”  Rakido notes “I-94 also symbolizes a way to get back.”
